A typical client journey:
First contact
Most of my clients find me through referrals, social media, Google searches or LinkedIn. They’re usually fed up with SEO waffle and looking for someone who can explain things clearly without the usual industry nonsense.
Initial conversation
We start with a straightforward phone call to determine if we’re a good fit. I’ll ask about your business goals, current website performance, and what you’re hoping to achieve. This helps me understand if I can genuinely help you and allows you to get a feel for my approach before committing.
Discovery and audit phase
Once we decide to work together, I conduct a comprehensive technical SEO audit of your website alongside an on-page content analysis. This gives us a clear picture of what’s working, what’s broken, and where the quick wins are hiding.
Implementation plan
Based on the audit findings, I create a prioritised roadmap that focuses on fixing technical issues first, then optimising on-page elements. I’ll explain exactly what needs to be done, why it matters, and what results you can expect, all in plain English.
Making changes that matter
I work methodically through the implementation plan, starting with technical fixes that often deliver immediate improvements. We’ll set up proper Google Search Console management to track progress and identify new opportunities as they emerge.
Regular updates and tweaks
Throughout our time working together, you’ll receive regular updates via email, video explanations or phone calls, depending on what works best for you. I’ll explain what’s been done, what results we’re seeing, and what’s coming next.
Seeing real results
Around the 3-month mark, clients typically have their “aha moment” when they start seeing how specific changes translate to better rankings, increased website traffic, and more importantly, more quality enquiries. This is when SEO becomes real rather than theoretical.
Building for the future
After our initial 6-month period, we’ll have established solid SEO foundations. At this point, we can either continue working together on ongoing optimisation, or I can provide a complete handover with a future roadmap for your team to implement in-house.
Ongoing support
Even after formal work concludes, I remain available to my clients for questions and guidance. The SEO landscape keeps changing, and having someone who can translate those changes into plain English is something many clients find invaluable.
