How 8-Bit Content is Different

Our content and SEO strategies prioritize people-first.
We of course do everything we can to improve on-page SEO, but I believe our initial start in offline content creation (getting into site optimization only around 2020-2021) helped us avoid some of the more blackhat tactics that can harm clients longterm.
We adapt fast but always maintain a sustainable approach to attract and engage real people.
And when it comes to working with educational websites and institutions, one of our co-founders has over 15 years in education management, providing very unique insights into enrollment and growth needs.

8-Bit Content Client Journey

Typically starts with an initial contact form response or referral message leading to some quick back and forth messages to understand needs.
Then we’ll hop on a call to go over some initial findings and opportunities for the potential client based on a quick audit. We’ll ask about their most profitable services, ICP, and then discuss direction, potential deliverables, and agree on a potential timeline.
We’ll then email over a proposal based on what was discussed on the call and any additional insights we may have come across in the meantime.
Once the terms are finalized, we’ll both sign and we’ll send over the first invoice.
We then gain GSC, GA, site access, and once the transfers made we get to work.
We can do a kickoff call at the start and another call at the end of each month. We can share a Slack channel and/or in my opinion – more effectively – share a Drive folder to track deliverables, share comments/questions and ensure client satisfaction.

8-Bit Content was founded by 2 Canadian brothers, Joshua and Will James.

Joshua is a long-time education leader with extensive experience managing large teams towards a common goal, building partnerships, and leveraging online and offline marketing efforts.

Will has experience in PR, copywriting, SEO, and of course, content marketing. He was the content manager for well-known content site in the MMO and SEO space responsible for topic research, content and writer management (when the goal was 1000 posts in a year), and more – with growth peaking at 1200%.

We’ve also worked with Awesome Motive and other notable brands.

(But this is just to say that we understand content creation, and blend creative and systems-thinking to help clients succeed.)

And through these experiences we’ve worked and vetted numerous vendors to scale as per client needs. Regardless though, clients work directly with us to ensure satisfaction.
