As a teenager, I had a keen interest in the digital world. After all, the internet was on the rise. The creative possibilities of this medium immediately appealed to me. It wasn’t long before I started experimenting with websites – first using simple templates, then more sophisticated WordPress sites. This was an unexpected success, as one of my first blogs (theroxor.com) attracted more than 150,000 visitors a month.

That interest also guided my studies. A course in digital marketing and communications was ideal to brush up on my knowledge. That knowledge certainly came in handy during my first job as a digital marketer at an Antwerp communication agency.

Yet something tingled. The urge to build something from nothing, just like I did with my first websites. And so, in November 2012, I decided to start working as a freelance SEO. A step into limbo, completely out of my comfort zone.

But that step turned out to be smaller than expected. The first partnerships were not long in coming. Meanwhile, I have helped dozens of local and international companies with search engine optimisation and SEA campaigns.
