Esteve Castells is an independent SEO consultant and growth advisor based near Barcelona, Spain, with over 10 years of experience in the digital marketing industry. He previously served as the Global Head of SEO at Adevinta from 2021 to 2024, where he led a team of 13 professionals and managed SEO strategies for more than 30 marketplaces across 11 countries.

Throughout his career, Esteve has managed some of the largest websites in Europe and globally, including Gumtree, Shpock, Milanuncios, coches.net, Fotocasa, Kleinanzeigen, and Willhaben. His expertise was instrumental in growing Leboncoin’s path pages from zero to 40 visibility points, achieving over 100,000 daily visits, and managing the migration of over 250 million pages for Kleinanzeigen.

Before Adevinta, Esteve worked at Softonic International as an International SEO Specialist and Performance Marketing Manager, where he created a new type of tag page that grew to more than 300,000 daily visits in 15 months through content scaling in multiple languages. He also has experience at Havas Media Group as an SEO Specialist, conducting technical audits and managing client accounts.

Esteve holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and serves as a lecturer and associate professor at several institutions, including Barcelona School of Management, TecnoCampus, and KSchool. He specializes in strategic and technical SEO, focusing on helping brands improve their positioning on Google through tailored growth strategies.
