We help software companies talk about what they do in a way that makes sense to people.
Many of our clients come to us because they’ve got a great product, but the marketing side isn’t clicking. Maybe they’ve outgrown their original messaging, or they’re trying to reach a new audience, or they’re launching something new and don’t know how to frame it. That’s where we come in.
We’re a product marketing agency, but we’re small (it’s just Matt and Sophie, husband and wife team), so when clients work with us, they’re getting real one-on-one help from people who’ve done this many times before. We’re not going to hand over a 60-page strategy doc and disappear. We talk to our clients, figure out what’s working and what’s not, and then help them fix it. That might mean repositioning their product, rewriting their website, building email campaigns, or making standout customer case studies.
Some clients need a few sessions or scopes to get unstuck. Others work with us long-term on a fractional CMO basis.
We’ve also built a free tool called the ick app (www.chiefstudio.co.uk/the-ick-app), used by hundreds of marketers and founders to spot jargon, overused phrases, and wild overstatements in their writing.
Our goal at Chief is to give software a soul, the kind of marketing that feels human, trustworthy, and true to the product.
