If it sounds like a fit, I’ll send over a proposal for approval, followed by a contract, first invoice, and suggested timeline for the first assignment(s). Depending on how clients prefer to work, I’ll either base my first draft on a combination of independent research along with the brief that’s provided, an SME (subject matter expert) interview, and/or an approved outline that I create for approval. All assignments include one round of edits within two weeks of submission, for longform pieces that’s extended to two rounds and one month.
